The Europens Team
Where it all began ....
In the summer of 1992 my journey began in the Pen world at Selfridges, Parker Pen department, London. Sue, Jason and Linda all showed me how and why Parker and writing instruments in general were in high demand. After two weeks, with an overview of knowledge I returned to the family business of stationery and opened our first Pen shop in the Glades Bromley, Websters Pen shop. The years passed and after working full time in the store, we started to open more stores around the southeast. This meant I was more required to operate the business at a higher level and became Managing Director.
In 2010, Europens was launched to test new online markets alongside the main business but my main focus was our existing online platforms in Amazon, which we started in 2003. Then in 2012 my parents decided that they wanted more say in the operation and future of the company which I had built and with this I decided to resign in January 2013.
In January 2013 Europens came out of the shadows and started to operate as a unique one stop shop for Specialist Pens and related Paper products. Two staff from the older company came with me and the three of us started our new journey.
Over the next few years the business grew beyond recognition as customers appreciated our service and speed of delivery, the word soon got around. We have had some great support from friends and partners in the pen industry to allow us to develop and evolve into a small but successful business.
In 2015 I decided that the team I had, now consisted of 5 including myself, was strong enough for me to operate the business from another country. In the summer of 2015 I moved my family with three young children to Mallorca where it was a lot sunnier..
The team now consists of seven, including myself, and we all shop online and have an interest in the products we sell. We all use online shopping and know from personal experience how annoying it is not to have goods delivered or the wrong items sent, that's why we work so hard to get it right every time, but we are not robots and if we get it wrong we will sort the problem as soon as we are notified.
All our efforts have meant that Europens continues to go from strength to strength and Europens has over 3000 followers on facebook.We serviced over 100,000 customers in 2016. We have a combined experience of over 50 years between us in the pen industry.
In 2018 and beyond we look to build on our foundations and offer our customers better value and choice with a view to opening a new showroom allowing anyone to come and try our products or click and collect.
