Fisher Space Pen

The Fisher Space Pen was first designed and developed by Paul Fisher around the late 1960s when he realised that astronauts had (apart from pencils) no accessible way to write with ink in space, thus he began researching and developing a product that would be ideal in the vacuum of space. After much experimentation he came up with the Fisher Space Pen Refill, designed to withstand freezing and burning temperatures, can be used upside-down, underwater and on a multitude of different surfaces, such as wet paper, photographs, coated paper and x-rays. After 18 months of testing the Fisher Space Pen was accepted to be used in space missions with it partaking in the Apollo 7 mission and now being the only pen that has been to the moon, sealing it into history.
